Job Description

The General Service Technician is responsible for providing quality service and vehicle repair in a timely manner. This position supports the Company mission and operates within the core values, contributing to the success of the team.

Primary Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

• Change oil and oil filters in cars and light trucks
• Provide tire care, including installation, repair, and rotation
• Inspect and top off engine fluids
• Lubricate frontend parts as needed
• Perform vehicle inspections following a checklist of potential trouble spots such as belts, hoses, brakes, etc.
• Move and operate customer vehicles into and out of service bays
• Maintain positive customer relationships
• Maintain productive working relationships with co-workers and management
• Keep tools, equipment, and work areas clean and functional
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work area
• Represent the organization professionally, projecting trust, honesty, and respect at all times

Qualifications

We are looking for candidates who:

• Have a High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent
• Possess one or more years of experience in basic car care (helpful but not necessary)
• Have a customer-focused attitude and work well in a team environment
• Are mechanically inclined
• Hold a valid driver’s license
• Can pass a pre-employment drug test and background check
• Have effective communication and interpersonal skills
• Possess top-notch customer service skills and a desire to build long-term trust and relationships
• Are willing to work Saturdays

Physical Requirements

• Prolonged periods of standing, stooping, and bending
• Occasional exertion of 50-100 lbs of force and frequent exertion of 10-25 lbs of force
• Work at a production rate pace involving pushing and pulling materials
