Overview

Big O General Service Technicians perform service and installation activities associated with store products and services in an accurate and timely manner.

Pay: $31,220 - $38,160 per year

Responsibilities
  • Drain oil and change oil filter; lubricate vehicles; install, rotate and balance tires; properly torque wheels; check and fill various fluids; check and replace filters and lights
  • Unload tires, merchandise, and supplies from trucks and deliveries
  • Inspect disposed tires for adjustment and store or dispose of tires properly
  • Clean facilities, tools, and equipment; stock shelves
  • Greet and thank customers courteously; provide fast and friendly service
  • Explain benefits of services and products to promote sales
  • Perform sales duties per company policy; including pricing, promotions, suggestive selling, vendor check-in, and stocking
  • Maintain store appearance to meet standards
  • Safely operate customer vehicles with automatic and manual transmissions
  • Complete required training timely
  • Follow work schedule and clocking procedures accurately
  • Inform supervisor of maintenance issues or concerns
  • Assist in training new employees as needed
  • Perform other duties as assigned, adhering to company policies
Job Requirements
  • Minimum age of 17 with parental consent
  • Ability to learn new concepts and use technical materials
  • Operate a computer and office machinery
  • Safely operate vehicles with automatic and manual transmissions
  • Accurately communicate with customers
  • Work with hazardous materials safely
  • Work outdoors in various weather conditions
  • Follow PPE regulations
  • Good vision, hearing, speech, and olfactory senses
  • Lift and move supplies up to 75 pounds
  • Availability for holidays, weekends, and after-hours work
  • Proficient in English communication skills
  • Meet pre-employment requirements and legal work authorization

Note: Ability to obtain a Motor Vehicle Inspection within 6 months for Missouri stores.
