Overview:
Big O General Service Technicians perform service and installation activities associated with store products and services accurately and in a timely manner.

Responsibilities:
- Drain oil and change oil filters; lubricate vehicles; install, rotate, and balance tires; properly torque wheels; check and fill various fluids; check and replace filters and lights.
- Unload tires, merchandise, and supplies from transport trucks and warehouse deliveries.
- Inspect disposed tires for adjustment and store or dispose of them properly.
- Clean facilities, tools, and equipment; stock shelves.
- Provide fast, friendly customer service, greeting and thanking each customer courteously.
- Promote sales by explaining the benefits of services and products; suggestive selling; implement promotions; stock merchandise.
- Maintain store appearance according to Big O Tires standards.
- Safely operate customer vehicles with automatic and manual transmissions, moving vehicles as needed.
- Complete daily training such as Today's Class Technician and other required courses.
- Follow posted work schedules and clocking procedures.
- Report maintenance issues to supervisors.
- Assist in training new employees as needed.
- Adhere to company policies and perform additional duties as assigned.
Job Requirements:
- Must be at least 17 years old (with parental consent) or older.
- Ability to learn technical concepts and materials.
- Proficient in operating computers and office machinery.
- Ability to operate vehicles with automatic and manual transmissions safely.
- Effective communication skills with customers.
- Willingness to work with hazardous materials.
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Compliance with PPE regulations.
- Good vision, hearing, speech, and olfactory senses.
- Capable of lifting and moving up to 75 pounds.
- Availability to work holidays, weekends, and after hours as needed.
- Proficient in English (reading, writing, speaking).
- Must meet pre-employment screening requirements and have legal authorization to work in the U.S.
Note: Ability to obtain a current Motor Vehicle Inspection within 6 months for Missouri stores.
Preferred Skills:
- High school diploma or GED.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Ability to work independently and in teams.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
