Overview
Big O General Service Technicians perform service and installation activities associated with store products and services in an accurate and timely manner.

Pay: $31,220 - $38,160 per year
Responsibilities
- Drain oil and change oil filter; lubricate vehicles; install, rotate and balance tires and properly torque wheels; check and fill various fluids; check and replace various filters and lights.
- Unload tires and other merchandise and supplies from transport trucks and warehouse deliveries.
- Inspect disposed tires for adjustment and properly store or dispose of tires.
- Clean facilities, tools, and equipment and stock shelves.
- Consistently and courteously greet and thank each customer and provide fast and friendly customer service.
- Promote sales by explaining benefits of services and products to customers.
- Perform sales duties per company policy, including proper pricing, promotions, suggestive selling, and stock management.
- Maintain store appearance to meet Big O Tires standards.
- Safely operate customer vehicles with automatic and manual transmissions, moving vehicles as needed.
- Complete required training such as Today’s Class Technician daily.
- Follow work schedule and clocking procedures accurately.
- Inform supervisor of maintenance issues or other concerns.
- Assist in training new employees as needed.
- Adhere to company policies and perform other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements
- At least 17 years of age (with parental consent) or older.
- Ability to learn new concepts and operate technical materials.
- Proficient with computers and office machinery.
- Ability to safely operate automatic and manual transmission vehicles.
- Effective communication skills with customers.
- Willingness to work with hazardous materials and outdoor conditions.
- Compliance with PPE regulations.
- Physical ability to move and handle products and supplies up to 75 pounds.
- Availability to work holidays, weekends, and after hours as needed.
- Fluent in English for communication.
- Successful pre-employment screening and legal authorization to work in the U.S.
Note: Ability to obtain a current Motor Vehicle Inspection within 6 months for Missouri stores.
Preferred Skills
- High school diploma or GED.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Ability to work independently and in teams.
- Ability to work efficiently at a fast pace.
