Overview

Big O General Service Technicians perform service and installation activities associated with store products and services in an accurate and timely manner.

Pay: $31,220 - $38,160 per year

Responsibilities

• Drain oil and change oil filter; lubricate vehicles; install, rotate and balance tires and properly torque wheels; check and fill various fluids; check and replace filters and lights
• Unload tires, merchandise, and supplies from trucks and deliveries
• Inspect disposed tires for adjustment and store or dispose of them properly
• Clean facilities, tools, and equipment; stock shelves
• Greet and thank customers courteously; provide fast and friendly service
• Promote sales by explaining benefits of services and products; suggestive selling
• Perform sales duties including pricing, promotions, and stocking merchandise
• Maintain store appearance according to standards
• Safely operate customer vehicles with automatic and manual transmissions
• Complete required training timely
• Follow work schedule and clocking procedures
• Report maintenance issues to supervisor
• Assist in training new employees
• Perform other duties as assigned, adhering to company policies

Job Requirements

• Minimum age 17 with parental consent
• Ability to learn technical concepts and operate office machinery
• Ability to operate vehicles safely
• Effective communication skills
• Willingness to work with hazardous materials and outdoors
• Adhere to PPE regulations
• Good sensory abilities (vision, hearing, smell)
• Ability to lift up to 75 pounds and move safely
• Availability for flexible hours including holidays and weekends
• English proficiency
• Successful pre-employment screening
• Legal authorization to work in the U.S.

Note: For Missouri stores, ability to obtain a Motor Vehicle Inspection within 6 months is required.
