About The Role:

Compensation: $17-20 per hour

The General Service Technician role involves both front and back shop duties, including at least two days per week at the front counter. Responsibilities include performing vehicle repairs and maintenance, communicating effectively with guests, and supporting sales and store operations. As a key holder and manager on duty when needed, you will help ensure a positive guest experience and a welcoming store environment.

Responsibilities:

• Perform basic vehicle services and repairs according to standards, including tire services and vehicle maintenance tasks.
• Complete Courtesy Inspections on every vehicle, identifying additional needed services.
• Assist with inventory management and store upkeep to ensure cleanliness and readiness.
• Follow safety standards and conduct test drives in accordance with policies.
• Operate and maintain equipment safely, completing required training.
• Support guest care, work order processing, and store opening/closing duties.
• Communicate product and service offerings effectively to guests.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent; automotive training or experience preferred.
• Valid driver’s license with a satisfactory Motor Vehicle Report.
• Own basic tools or participate in Monro’s tool purchase program.

Work Environment & Physical Requirements:

Work in an automotive shop environment with exposure to noise, weather, chemicals, and dust. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand and walk for long periods, and perform physical tasks like reaching, bending, and squatting is required. Flexibility to work various hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
