Job Description

The General Service Technician position is full-time or part-time, hourly, based on business needs. Responsibilities include performing routine vehicle repairs and maintenance, communicating effectively with guests, and ensuring quality service. The hourly pay ranges from minimum wage up to $19.00, with potential incentives based on experience.

Responsibilities

1. Perform basic vehicle services and repairs efficiently according to company standards.
2. Conduct tire services such as mounting, balancing, and TPMS repairs.
3. Perform vehicle services like oil changes, basic maintenance, and battery testing.
4. Complete Monro’s Courtesy Inspection on every guest vehicle, identifying additional service needs.
5. Assist with inventory management and store duties, maintaining cleanliness and readiness.
6. Adhere to safety standards and conduct test drives following company policies.
7. Operate and maintain equipment safely, completing all required training.
8. Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

1. High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
2. Automotive training or experience in basic maintenance and repair.
3. Valid driver’s license and satisfactory Motor Vehicle Report.
4. Own a basic set of tools or participate in Monro’s tool purchase program.

Profile & Physical Requirements

• Ability to work flexible hours, lift up to 75 lbs, and perform physical tasks in a shop environment.
• Ability to work in varying weather conditions and stand/walk for long periods.
