Job summary

Discount Tire & Service Centers is seeking an entry level General Service Technician in California. The role focuses on tire mounting/dismounting, balancing, TPMS sensor replacement, oil changes, alignments, and braking/suspension basics.

Experience with hoists and proper lifting is required, with opportunities for growth in automotive technician skills. This entry level position welcomes recent grads from automotive programs.

Qualifications

• Experience in mounting, dismounting and balancing Passenger and Light Truck tires.
• Experience in replacing TPMS sensors.
• Experience in lifting vehicles using hoists, floor jacks and stands.
• Experience in changing various oils with proper procedure.
• Experience in alignments and knowledge of brakes and suspension.

General Service Technician

A growing Tire and Automotive Service Company is seeking for an experienced Entry Level Technician. Immediate openings available.

The ideal candidate will have:

• Experience in mounting, dismounting, balancing Passenger and Light Truck tires, including low profile, large diameter wheels.


• Experience in replacing TPMS sensors


• Experience in proper lifting of vehicles using hoists, floor jacks, jack stands, etc.


• Experience in properly changing various oils on a wide variety of vehicles using a double check system


• Experience in Alignments


• Demonstrate Mechanical knowledge of Brakes and Suspension systems


• Experience changing brakes, shocks, suspension components

Employer will also consider recent graduates or students of a certified Automotive Technology program. As this position is an entry level position intended to provide the experience to become an Automotive Technician.

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift


• Holidays


• Monday to Friday


• Weekends as needed
