Job summary

Discount Tire & Service Centers is seeking an entry-level General Service Technician in Visalia. This role offers hands-on tire mounting, balancing, TPMS sensor replacement, oil changes and basic brake/suspension work.

Ideal candidates include recent graduates or students in automotive technology programs. Schedule includes an 8-hour shift, holidays, Monday–Friday with weekends as needed. Benefits and growth opportunities are available in a busy service environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in mounting, dismounting and balancing tires on passenger and light truck wheels.
• Experience replacing TPMS sensors and performing basic vehicle maintenance.
• Ability to lift and work on vehicles using standard shop equipment.
• Basic understanding of oil change procedures and system checks.
• Familiarity with alignments, brakes and suspension components.

Responsibilities

• Mount, dismount and balance tires for passenger and light truck applications.
• Replace TPMS sensors and perform tire maintenance tasks.
• Safely lift and support vehicles using hoists, jacks and stands.
• Conduct oil changes on a variety of vehicles with accuracy.
• Assist with alignments and basic brake/suspension work as needed.
• Follow safety procedures and contribute to a productive shop environment.

General Service Technician

A growing Tire and Automotive Service Company is seeking for an experienced Entry Level Technician. Immediate openings available.

The ideal candidate will have:

• Experience in mounting, dismounting, balancing Passenger and Light Truck tires, including low profile, large diameter wheels.


• Experience in replacing TPMS sensors


• Experience in proper lifting of vehicles using hoists, floor jacks, jack stands, etc.


• Experience in properly changing various oils on a wide variety of vehicles using a double check system


• Experience in Alignments


• Demonstrate Mechanical knowledge of Brakes and Suspension systems


• Experience changing brakes, shocks, suspension components

Employer will also consider recent graduates or students of a certified Automotive Technology program. As this position is an entry level position intended to provide the experience to become an Automotive Technician.
