Job summary

Staker Parson Companies, a CRH Company, is seeking safety‑conscious apprentices to join our road construction team. You will work under experienced professionals and gain hands‑on exposure to field tasks, building skills in general road construction while supporting daily crew operations.

Typical duties include raking, site cleanup, and operating small tools; candidates should be able to read instructions, perform basic math, and hold a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • Ability to read and understand instructions, memos, and short correspondence.
  • Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals).
  • Ability to follow detailed written or verbal directions.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team or independently.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

  • Shoveling and raking materials.
  • Sweeping and general site cleanup.
  • Steam cleaning.
  • Painting.
  • Tire work.
  • Assisting mechanics with basic tasks.
  • Lifting, pushing, and pulling materials and tools.

We are looking for safety‑focused, hardworking individuals to join our road construction team as apprentices. In this role, you will work under the guidance of experienced road construction professionals and gain hands‑on exposure to a variety of field tasks. This position is designed to help you build skills in general road construction while supporting daily crew operations.

Work activities may include raking, traffic control, site cleanup, and operating small tools and equipment.

Key Responsibilities

Qualifications

Education & Experience
  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • Prior construction experience is a plus, but not required.

Physical Requirements
