Job summary

The Hospital of Central Connecticut, part of Hartford HealthCare, seeks a Radiologic Technologist to perform diagnostic radiographic imaging in an acute care setting. You will position patients, operate x-ray equipment and assist during imaging exams to help in diagnosis.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited Radiography program.
• State of Connecticut Radiographer license.
• ARRT certification in Radiography required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS)

Responsibilities

• Performs radiologic examinations on identified patients per department procedures and protocols by positioning patients and operating radiographic equipment. Performs fluoroscopic procedures as needed.
• Minimizes radiation to patient, self and others by practicing appropriate radiation protection techniques and shielding per standards.
• Accurately inputs procedural information into electronic medical record, RIS and PACS to capture exams, charges and radiation exposure.
• Obtains patient information including labs and medications to ensure exam relevance and accuracy.
• Perform other related duties as required
