Job summary

Backus Hospital, part of Hartford HealthCare, seeks a Radiologic Technologist to perform diagnostic imaging across ambulatory and acute settings, positioning patients, operating x-ray equipment and providing patient care to aid diagnosis.

Requirements: graduate from an accredited Radiography program; Connecticut Radiographer license; ARRT certification in Radiography (within 120 days for new grads); Basic Life Support.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic radiographic imaging procedures in various locations including ambulatory or acute settings.
• Position patients, operate diagnostic x-ray equipment and provide patient care during imaging exams.
• Assist with fluoroscopic procedures as needed.

Position Summary:

The Radiologic Technologist performs diagnostic radiographic imaging procedures in various locations including but not limited to ambulatory or acute settings by positioning patients, operating diagnostic x-ray equipment and providing patient care during imaging exams to assist in diagnosis and treatment of the patient. Our Radiologic Technologists may perform fluoroscopic procedures as needed.

Requirements:

• Graduate from an accredited Radiography program
• State of Connecticut Radiographer license
• ARRT certification in Radiography (obtained within 120 days of graduation for new graduates)
• Basic Life Support (BLS)
