Job summary

Hyundai Motor Company in Georgia is seeking an entry-level supply chain associate to support vendor management, inventory tracking, and cross‑department collaboration. You will review materials forecasts and assist with reporting and analytics to enable smooth production runs.

• Place orders with vendors according to planned manufacturing schedules.
• Research and evaluate various vendors to determine best price, quality, and availability.
• Ensure materials are purchased at the best possible price by conducting research and analysis of vendors and costs.
• Prepare, report, and implement RFQ for general purchasing.
• Select, develop, and manage the supply base for General Purchasing products and services by preparing RFQs, negotiating spot purchases and long-term agreements, maintaining competitive pricing, leading cost reduction activities, and monitoring supplier quality and delivery.
• Formulate and implement yearly commodity and supply base strategy.
• Work closely with suppliers to optimize supplier processes.
• Explore available technology and implement best practices related to purchasing activities.
• Plan, organize, track, and disseminate information related to General Purchasing suppliers.
• Manage vendor and pricing data in the ERP system.

General Summary

• Manage vendors, assist with inventory tracking, and interact with internal departments.
• Review and forecast materials and supply needs for product runs.
• Assist with inventory reporting and analytics.
• Responsible for general purchasing activities (steel, aluminum, sub‑materials, paints, equipment, MROs) and supplier management relating to cost, quality, supplier controls, legal, compliances, and service for HMGMA.

Major Responsibilities

• Place orders with vendors according to planned manufacturing schedules.
• Research and evaluate various vendors to determine the best price, quality, and availability.
• Ensure materials are purchased at the best possible price by conducting research and analysis of vendors and costs.
• Prepare, report, and implement Request for Quotation (RFQ) for general purchasing.
• Select, develop, and manage the supply base for General Purchasing products and services by:
  • Preparing RFQs for user department requirements.
  • Negotiating spot purchases and long‑term agreements.
  • Maintaining competitive pricing.
  • Leading yearly cost reduction activities.
  • Monitoring supplier quality and delivery performance.
• Formulate and implement yearly commodity and supply base strategy.
• Work closely with suppliers to optimize supplier processes.
• Explore available technology and implement best practices related to purchasing activities.
• Plan, organize, track, and disseminate information related to General Purchasing suppliers.

Physical Demands
