You will support the shipping process by preparing completed crates for shipment and coordinating with the materials team to stage and send products out. This role is based in a clean manufacturing facility that specializes in the production and assembly of equipment for pathology, histology, necropsy, and morgue applications. The operation runs multiple departments under one roof, including Engineering, Machining, Welding, Metal Finishing, and Shipping/Receiving, and manages work in process from raw materials through to finished products. You will initially train on 1st shift for about four weeks and then move to 2nd shift, working 4:30 PM to 3:00 AM, Monday through Thursday, with optional Friday work depending on team preferences and workload. The culture is laid back and family oriented, with an emphasis on cross‑training and collaboration among a workforce of approximately 84 employees. The environment involves general production and warehouse activities such as assembly, loading, unloading, and inspection, using hand tools, power tools, and basic mechanical equipment. The dress code is practical working attire suitable for a manufacturing floor, with steel‑toe boots required for safety. Protective gear such as gloves and other appropriate equipment is used as needed for specific tasks. The facility is organized into multiple areas for work in process, allowing you to see the full flow of materials and products from start to finish.
This is a Contract position based out of Madison Heights, MI.
The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $20.00/hr.
