Job summary

Foster Farms is seeking a motivated team member for a day shift role in California. You will assist the supervisor to meet department goals, organize staffing, and guide hourly employees to ensure quality, productivity, and safety.

The position requires leadership, basic computer skills for record keeping, and the ability to read instructions and communicate in English. You must be able to work safely and meet physical requirements.

Shift: Day Shift

Job Description:

• Assist supervisor to ensure that the department and company goals and standards of quality, productivity, cost and safety are met.
• Set up, organize and ensure that the department is staffed and make necessary adjustments as needed.
• Instruct, direct and assist hourly employees as needed.
• Assist with and complete paperwork as required and/or requested by supervisor.

Qualifications:

• Good leadership and interpersonal skills.
• Must have some computer skills for record keeping purposes.
• Ability to read and understand written instructions and communicate verbally in English with management and hourly employees.
• Able to work safely and set an example of safe working habits for his/hers co-workers.
• Ability to give instructions and follow-up with hourly employees.
• Ability to work in the environment specific to the department (i.e. cold and/or wet, etc.).
• Ability to understand and perform the various tasks to standards established for the department.
• Ability to meet the physical requirements (i.e. lifting, climbing and/or bending, etc.) to perform the various tasks in the department.
• Work experience specific to the department preferred.
