Job summary

Foster Farms is seeking a dedicated Utility/Cleaning worker for the day shift to keep deli production areas clean and operating smoothly. You will assist with supplying film rolls and boxes to the line, while navigating machinery and performing bin handling and waste removal.

The role requires physical fitness, the ability to lift up to 50 pounds, climb ladders to significant heights, and pass a background check. This is a full-time day-shift position at Foster Farms.

Qualifications

• Must be able to work independently.
• Must communicate effectively in English (reading and writing).
• Must have a basic math aptitude.
• Mechanical aptitude helpful.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Must be able to climb ladders to heights of 40 to 170 feet.

Responsibilities

• Maintain production areas in the deli, keeping them clean and free of debris.

Job Description

• The Utility/Cleaning person Cook Side (CS) is responsible for maintaining the production areas in the deli are clean of debris, empty gray bins into waste barrels, hose down and replace gray bins in specific locations, and clean the floors. The worker will supply Frank Form Film rolls and boxes to the line as needed. The Utility/Cleaning person works around machinery, bend/stooping to reach bins, lifting bins, and shoveling waste debris into waste barrels.
• Workers will assist the position with dumping the barrels of condemned product as needed. Workers are instructed to allow the barrels to be filled up to a level approximately 13 inches below the top. At this level the weight of the barrel will be up to 90 pounds and as a team/two person lift it is a 45 pound lift requirement for each person.
