Job summary

Tyson Foods in Omaha, NE is hiring for entry-level production roles in Raw Process, Cooked Bacon, and Pizza Toppings. The starting pay is $21.50 per hour with 1st shift hours and overtime potential in a fast-paced production environment.

You will perform general housekeeping, follow safety and GMP/SQF standards, rotate positions as needed, and may handle knives. This work is physically demanding and requires standing long hours in a cold environment.

Qualifications

• Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs or more.
• Able to stand 8-10 hours on hard floors.
• Willing to work overtime and/or weekends.
• Ability to perform rotation across department positions.

POSITION SUMMARY

These positions may work in any department of the facility such as the Raw Process, Cooked Bacon, and Pizza Toppings.

The starting pay for this position is $21.50 per hour.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Perform general housekeeping duties in the department
• Comply with all safety, food safety, GMP and SQF Requirements
• Must perform all positions of rotation, if applicable
• Some positions may involve the use of knives
• Perform any other work as assigned by supervisor
• Must be able to work overtime and/or weekends as needed

Physical Requirements

The successful candidate(s) must be willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation.

• Must be willing and able to lift up to 40 lbs or more if required (weight depends on area)
• The Team Member will stand, walk, bend, squat, stretch, climb, push, pull and reach
• The Team Member will stand 8-10 hours on hard floors
• The Team Member will perform repetitive motions
• The Team Member will use hands and arms above shoulder level
• The Team Member will work in a cold and damp environment with slippery walking surfaces
