Job summary

A Spencer, IA cold storage facility is seeking a General Production Worker for 1st shift (7:00am–3:30pm). The general production employee is responsible for the daily processing of products and ensuring accurate packaging on the line.

Aventure Staffing is the recruiting agency for this role. Pay starts at $17.50/hr, with some shifts at $17.75/hr, and overtime including Saturdays. Weekly pay via direct deposit or paycards, plus paid holidays and PTO.

• Exposure to cold storage temps and damp floors.
• Ability to work overtime including Saturdays.

• Lift the 60 lb box onto a pallet and repeat.
• Finalize, box, and wrap meat products accurately on the production line
• Complete and apply packaging and shipping labels correctly for delivery

Responsibilities

• Push beef from the assembly line in a box
• Lift the 60 lb box onto a pallet and repeat.
• Finalize, box, and wrap meat products (beef, pork, poultry) accurately on the production line
• Complete and apply packaging and shipping labels correctly for delivery
• Pre-stage packaging supplies and maintain a clean, safe production workspace

Requirements

• Exposures to temperature of an average of 28 to 28 degrees depending on the work assignment.
• Employee will encounter meat products including blood/fat pieces May work overtime and Saturday to complete work, as directed and authorized by management
• Requires the ability to pay close attention to details and meet deadlines.
• The employee may encounter wet floors and/or damp areas and encounter meat products including blood/fat pieces
• Follow all safety rules.
