Job summary

La-Z-Boy Incorporated in Neosho, MO is seeking a General Press Labor associate to assemble metal components and operate press equipment in a fast-paced manufacturing setting. You will load dies, maintain tooling, and inspect parts to meet our quality standards while maintaining a clean, safe work area.

The role emphasizes teamwork, reliability, and adherence to health and safety standards. Candidates should be able to lift 50 lbs and obtain a PIV license as required.

Qualifications

• Equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Basic reading, writing and math skills.
• Ability to read complex print specifications.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds.
• Obtain PIV license.
• Excellent attendance; 3 points or less.
• No safety written warnings.

Responsibilities

• Fabricate metal material according to La-Z-Boy quality requirements.
• Operate press, machine maintenance to maximize program yields.
• Load die and set up the machine, adjusting for each job.
• Keep all moving parts of machine lubricated.
• Operate forklift or pallet jack to relocate materials, supplies, and parts as needed.
• Inspect work visually for defects according to our quality standards
• Proper cleaning and maintenance of equipment
• Ability to operate equipment in a safe, accurate and efficient manner.
• Rework non-conforming parts as necessary.
• Control quality and waste.
• Demonstrates teamwork and motivation for job requirements.
• Follow health and safety standards.
• Maintain a clean work area.
