Job summary

La-Z-Boy Incorporated is seeking a Material Handler to pick up, deliver and stock materials across the campus using PIV equipment or manual transport. You will use scanners and tablets to manage inventory and ensure timely supply for assembly.

The role requires basic math and computer skills, a valid PIV license, and the ability to maintain accurate inventory levels while following 5S standards. This is a full-time on-site position with benefits and a focus on safety and efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Operates various forms of PIV equipment to receive, deliver and store supplies.
• Obtains work order to determine parts needed and delivery location.
• Retrieves sub-assemblies and parts from storage locations.
• Loads carts with required parts.
• Stages completed carts in designated location.
• Uses a scanner and/or tablet to manage transactions, transfer parts, perform inventory inquiries, maintenance counts, report outages.
• Returns unused parts, empty containers, empty carts to designated storage/replenishment location.
• Moves completed assemblies or boxed furniture into designated locations.
• Follows health and safety standards.
• Maintains a clean workplace following 5S standards.
• Performs other tasks as assigned.
