General Practice Certified Nurse Midwife Job with Indiana University Health in Indianapolis, IN

Join Indiana University Health in Indianapolis, IN, as a Certified Nurse Midwife (CNM) in a general practice setting. This role offers a blend of clinical and leadership responsibilities within the OB-GYN department, supporting full-scope and OBED teams.

Position Details:

• Full-time, days
• Schedule dependent on clinical responsibilities
• 80% clinical, 20% administrative
• 50% inpatient, 50% outpatient
• Work directly with 6-8 physicians and 23 APPs
• Total of 38 APPs, including full-time, part-time, and supplemental staff

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee APP scheduling, professional development, recruitment, onboarding, clinical supervision, and team dynamics
• Advocate for department APPs at the system level, ensure effective communication, conduct regular check-ins, oversee evaluations and quality initiatives, collaborate with physician and administrative leadership

Qualifications:

• CNM certification required
• Minimum 5 years of APP experience required
• Midwifery experience in an academic and/or high-risk setting preferred
