Family Medicine Nurse Practitioner Job with Indiana University Health in Indianapolis, IN

Position Details:

• Full-time, Monday-Friday (2 hours outside of 8am-5pm required)
• 36 patient-facing hours/week, with 10% flex time
• No weekends, holidays, or call
• Expected patient volume: approximately 60-70/week, including established and new patients, same-day visits, adults and children
• Team includes 8 physicians and 2 APPs
• Procedures include IUD insertion/removal and dermatological procedures

Key Responsibilities:

• Assess health status through history and physical exams, screenings, and risk factor identification
• Develop differential diagnoses and address individual, family, and community needs
• Create treatment plans to optimize health outcomes
• Order and adjust medications per collaborative agreement and prescriptive authority in accordance with Indiana Nurse Practice Act
• Develop, implement, and evaluate nursing practice standards
• Serve as a clinical resource for staff and providers
• Demonstrate knowledge of growth and development across the lifespan

Qualifications:

• FNP certification required
• New graduates with ICU or Emergency Medicine RN experience preferred
