Production Supervisor Scope:
The Production Supervisor is responsible for leading and coordinating daily production operations by establishing priorities, sequences, and proper staffing levels to ensure delivery of quality products that meet and exceed customer expectations.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Lead safety, production, and quality issues for the shift
- Plan and organize work objectives, goals, and responsibilities
- Develop crew members to improve performance
- Manage performance and corrective actions
- Implement process improvements using lean methodologies
- Handle administrative tasks like punch detail review, overtime, payroll adjustments
- Facilitate problem solving within the shift
- Administer plant policies and safety standards
- Maintain product quality and safety compliance
- Track and improve key performance indicators
- Maintain positive employee relations
- Collaborate with other departments to optimize production
- Analyze data to solve production issues
- Work with upstream and downstream processes to exceed customer expectations
Position Requirements:
- Minimum 3 years leadership experience in manufacturing; bachelor’s degree preferred
- Ability to motivate and train employees
- Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills
- Leadership skills including team building, coaching, and performance management
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement
- Certifications like Six Sigma are a plus
- Experience with Manufacturing Operating Systems
- Organized, proactive, and able to manage multiple projects
- Understanding of company products and logistics
- Strong work ethic and accountability
- Excellent organizational and communication skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and blueprint reading
- Hands-on leadership approach
