Responsibilities

• Assumes responsibility for initial evaluation and treatment of patients in assigned areas.
• Performs initial history and physical and documents in Electronic Medical Record.
• Writes standard orders per hospital policy.
• Writes orders for pre-existing conditions.
• Discusses findings with colleagues and staff as needed.
• Evaluates patient progress and adjusts treatment as needed.
• Identifies medical, social and educational needs of patients and initiates referrals.
• Documents progress notes and treatment plans for each visit.
• Establishes diagnoses in compliance with contract.
• Refers acutely or life-threatening conditions to ED or specialists as needed.
