Pediatric Associates in Jacksonville, Florida seeks a full-time Pediatric Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our practices. The role offers a 4- or 5-day work week, no weekends, and aMon-Fri 8am-5pm schedule. Spanish speaking preferred; newborn rounds optional.

Qualifications

• BLS certification required.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in pediatric primary care.

Responsibilities

• Provide pediatric primary care services as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant.
• Rounds on newborns when appropriate (not mandatory).
• Mon-Fri 8am-5pm with no weekends.

Education, Licensure & Certification:

• Successful completion of an Accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant Program
• Physician Assistants must have passed the NCCPA certification exam
• Nurse Practitioners graduating after July 1, 2006, must be board certified
• Nurse Practitioners must be certified by the ANCC or PNCB
• Current, Unrestricted license to practice medicine or the ability to obtain in the State of Florida
• Current, Unrestricted DEA license or the ability to obtain in the State of Florida
• Meets all requirements to obtain medical staff membership and privileges as required
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required
• Minimum 2 years of experience in pediatric primary care setting
