Job summary

Target in Houston is seeking a General Merchandise Expert to help guests, stock shelves, and maintain a welcoming store environment. You will greet guests, assist with locating items, and process transactions with courtesy and efficiency.

The role requires the ability to lift up to 44 pounds, work flexible hours including nights and weekends, and collaborate with teammates to meet store priorities. Training will cover safety, product availability, and digital fulfillment tasks.

• Create an Easy, Inspiring and Friendly guest experience by delivering on commitments
• Help guests find what they need and/or resolve issues to ensure a smooth, easy shopping experience
• End every guest transaction with a sincere thank you
• Actively support team efforts and assist peers in other areas while maintaining a positive and respectful attitude
• Adjust to business and guest needs to deliver an easy and inspiring guest experience
• Execute daily tasks such as receiving products, restocking shelves, organizing the backroom, merchandise setup and price sign placement
• Learn and execute operational procedures affecting inventory, store profitability and product availability
• Follow all Target policies and safety procedures and maintain a safe, compliant workplace
• Support guest services such as back-up cashier and digital fulfillment processes
• All other duties based on business needs
