Job summary

Target in Houston, TX is hiring a General Merchandise Expert to help guests and keep shelves stocked. You will greet customers, assist with finding items, and ensure a smooth shopping experience while following store policies.

This role emphasizes teamwork, adaptability, and accuracy in receiving products, restocking, pricing, and maintaining the sales floor. The position requires physical tasks and flexible hours, including nights and weekends.

Qualifications

• Guest service fundamentals and experience supporting a guest-first culture across the store.
• Experience in retail business fundamentals, including department sales trends, inventory replenishment, and process efficiency and improvement.
• Executing daily/weekly workload to support business priorities and deliver on sales goals.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly at 10ft and 4ft zones.
• Help guests find products and resolve issues to ensure a smooth, easy shopping experience.
• End every guest transaction with a sincere thank you.
• Actively support team efforts and assist peers in other areas while maintaining a positive and respectful attitude.
• Assist with receiving products, restocking shelves, organizing the backroom, merchandising setup and maintenance, pricing activities and signage creation for GM areas.
• If certified, operate power equipment to move merchandise or store fixtures.
• Follow safety procedures and report hazards.
