Job summary

Target is seeking a General Merchandise Expert in Michigan to support guest services, inventory, replenishment, and signage across GM areas. You will assist guests, work with a team, and perform tasks to maintain store presentation and product availability.

Role requires a welcoming attitude, ability to operate scanners and handling power equipment when certified, and flexibility for varying shifts including nights and weekends. Training provided to build skills.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of guest service fundamentals and experience supporting a guest first culture across the store.
• Experience in retail business fundamentals including department sales trends, inventory replenishment, and process efficiency.
• Experience executing daily/weekly workload to support business priorities and deliver on sales goals.

Responsibilities

• Create a welcoming experience by greeting guests as you are completing your daily tasks.
• When guests need assistance, engage with guests in a welcoming way to help solve their needs.
• Thank guests and let them know we’re happy they chose to shop at Target.
• Execute daily tasks assigned by your leader to help achieve goals including receiving products, restocking shelves, organizing the backroom, and putting up promotional signs.
• If certified operate power equipment to move merchandise or store fixtures.
• Execute processes including changing prices, merchandise set-up, and inventory accuracy as directed.
