Job summary

Target is seeking a General Merchandise Expert to help guests find what they need and ensure a welcoming store experience. You will greet guests, assist with product location, and support timely restocking and merchandising tasks.

The role emphasizes teamwork, adaptability to busy periods, and adherence to safety and store policies. Applicants should be capable of handling stock, assisting with cashier duties, and learning operational procedures in a fast-paced retail environment.

Qualifications

• Guest service fundamentals and guest-first culture experience.
• Experience in retail business fundamentals, including department sales trends, inventory replenishment, and process efficiency and improvement.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Create an easy, inspiring and friendly guest experience by greeting guests and assisting them.
• Assist with product receiving, restocking shelves, and backroom organization to support availability.
• Maintain accurate signage, pricing and product placement to improve store efficiency.
• Support guest services such as back-up cashier and digital fulfillment processes as needed.
• Follow safety, policy, and procedures to maintain a compliant workplace.
