Target in Belleville, IL is hiring a General Merchandise Associate to create an easy, inspiring guest experience and support store operations. You will greet guests, assist with finding items, process transactions, restock shelves, and maintain backroom organization in a physically active role.

You will work with a team to meet sales goals, follow safety procedures, and adapt to varying shifts, including nights and weekends.

• If certified, operate power equipment to move merchandise or store fixtures.
• Learn and execute operational procedures, such as setting and organizing merchandise, managing product accuracy and stock levels, and maintaining sales floor areas, affect inventory management, store profitability, and product availability.
• Follow all Target policies and safety procedures, adhere to role-specific guidelines (e.g., food safety, pricing), and help maintain a safe, compliant workplace by reporting and correcting hazards.
• Support guest services such as back-up cashier, and digital fulfillment processes (such as picking and packing orders or delivering pickup orders to guests) and maintain compliance culture while executing those duties, such as federal, state, and local adult beverage laws.
• All other duties based on business needs.
