Job summary
DirectShifts seeks a General Medicine physician to perform VA C&P disability examinations, review veterans' medical records, and conduct comprehensive General Medicine evaluations. You will accurately complete DBQs and related reports while documenting findings clearly and adhering to timelines.
Applicants must hold an MD or DO with an active license; board certification/eligibility in General Medicine is required or preferred. Experience with disability evaluations is advantageous.
Qualifications
- Board-certified/board-eligible General Medicine physician (MD/DO) required.
- Active, unrestricted MD/DO license required.
- Experience with disability evaluations or related fields preferred.
Responsibilities
- Perform VA C&P disability examinations.
- Review Veterans' medical records before each evaluation.
- Conduct comprehensive General Medicine examinations.
- Accurately complete Disability Benefits Questionnaires (DBQs) and required reports.
- Document findings clearly, objectively, and within established timelines.
- Maintain compliance with VA guidelines, HIPAA, and applicable state and federal regulations.
- Collaborate with clinical and administrative teams to ensure timely completion of evaluations.
