Job summary

DirectShifts seeks a General Medicine physician to perform VA C&P disability examinations, review records, and complete DBQs. No ongoing patient care or prescribing is required, but precise documentation and timely reporting are essential.

You must hold an active MD or DO license in the United States, with board certification or eligibility in General Medicine. Prior disability evaluation experience is preferred; flexible scheduling options include full-time, part-time, or PRN.

Qualifications

• MD/DO license in the United States.
• Board certification or eligibility in General Medicine.
• Experience with disability evaluations or related fields preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform VA C&P disability examinations.
• Review medical records before each evaluation.
• Conduct comprehensive General Medicine examinations.
• Complete Disability Benefits Questionnaires (DBQs) and required reports.
• Document findings clearly and within established timelines.
• Maintain compliance with VA guidelines, HIPAA, and applicable state and federal regulations.
• Collaborate with clinical and administrative teams to ensure timely completion of evaluations.
