Job summary

Collins Aerospace in Largo, FL is seeking an onsite assembly technician for second shift to build and repair cables, mechanical and electronic assemblies.

You will read operation instructions, blueprints, wiring diagrams, and use jigs, fixtures, soldering irons, and various hand and power tools to assemble and test parts. Relocation is not provided and U.S. citizenship is required for access to program materials.

What You Will Do:

• Perform all assembly and disassembly operations to modify, repair, rework, retrofit, upgrade and assemble cables, mechanical, electronic, microelectronic and hi-res assemblies and subassemblies from operation instruction sheets, blue prints, process sheets, samples, assembly drawing, wiring diagrams and schematics in the manufacture of new and customer returned products.
• Use jigs, fixtures, soldering irons and other hand and power tools, operate departmental machines and equipment as required.
• Receive and dispense to the lines, material, subassemblies and/or assemblies. Move material as directed.
