Collins Aerospace in Largo, FL is seeking a 2nd shift assembler. You will perform assembly and disassembly operations on cables, mechanical and electronic assemblies using jigs, fixtures, soldering irons, and other hand tools to meet quality and process specifications. Candidates must typically hold a HS diploma and be able to obtain and maintain a U.S.

government security clearance; U.S. citizenship is required.

1st Shift Schedule: This position is for 2nd shift Monday - Friday 3:00 PM - 11:30 PM

What You Will Do:

• Perform all assembly and disassembly operations to modify, repair, rework, retrofit, upgrade and assemble cables, mechanical, electronic, microelectronic and hi-res assemblies and subassemblies from operation instruction sheets, blue prints, process sheets, samples, assembly drawing, wiring diagrams and schematics in the manufacture of new and customer returned products.
• Use jigs, fixtures, soldering irons and other hand and power tools, operate departmental machines and equipment as required.
• Receive and dispense to the lines, material, subassemblies and/or assemblies.
• Move material as directed.
• Verified workmanship and product quality standards as they relate to specific assembly operations.
• Collect data, prepare/maintain records using either written or electronic media, as required.
• Will also be involved in storing, handling, use and disposal of hazardous waste chemicals.
• Must be capable of lifting and/or handling heavy parts, material, or equipment up to 28 lbs.
• May be required to satisfactorily complete one or more training courses.
• Employees may be required to obtain the appropriate government security clearance.
