Collins Aerospace in Largo, Florida is seeking an Assembly Technician for 1st shift. You will perform assembly/disassembly of cables, mechanical, electronic, microelectronic, and hi-res assemblies per blueprints and diagrams. You will use soldering irons, jigs, fixtures, and various tools while maintaining safety and quality standards.
Candidates must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance and be a U.S. citizen.

1st Shift Schedule: This position is for 1st shift Monday - Friday 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM
Perform all assembly and disassembly operations to modify, repair, rework, retrofit, upgrade and assemble cables, mechanical, electronic, microelectronic and hi-res assemblies and subassemblies from operation instruction sheets, blue prints, process sheets, samples, assembly drawing, wiring diagrams and schematics in the manufacture of new and customer returned products. Use jigs, fixtures, soldering irons and other hand and power tools, operate departmental machines and equipment as required. Receive and dispense to the lines, material, subassemblies and/or assemblies. Move material as directed. Verified workmanship and product quality standards as they relate to specific assembly operations. Collect data, prepare/maintain records using either written or electronic media, as required. Will also be involved in storing, handling, use and disposal of hazardous waste chemicals. Must be capable of lifting and/or handling heavy parts, material, or equipment up to 28 lbs. May be required to satisfactorily complete one or more training courses. Employees may be required to obtain the appropriate government security clearance.
This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
