Job summary

Allegiant is seeking a senior operations leader to drive base performance at our Florida operations. You will lead cross-functional teams across Inflight, Flight Operations, Maintenance, and vendor partners to uphold safety and service standards.

The role requires strong decision-making, people development, and flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays. Travel to support other cities may be needed and GSC certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Lead base accountability for Allegiant across Inflight, Flight Ops, Maintenance, and vendor teams.
• Chair weekly performance reviews to monitor KPIs and on-time performance.
• Oversee local SLAs, audit vendor compliance and initiate corrective actions.
• Represent Allegiant in regulatory matters with FAA/TSA and city officials.
• Audit training compliance and review training records and evaluations.
• Monitor vendor invoices for contract alignment and resolve discrepancies.
• Ensure effective GSE management and reporting.
• Align base communications with corporate strategy and goals.
• Serve as escalation point for safety, service, or performance concerns.
• Coordinate cross-functional responses to irregular operations and support decision-making.
• Address escalated customer complaints with Customer Relations.

Years of Experience:

Minimum of three (3) years' of airline operations experience, including two (2) years' of management experience preferred. Minimum of two (2) years' managing cross-functional operations preferred.

• Must reside within 60 minutes of the assigned airport due to the nature of the role

• Willingness and ability to travel at least twice per year, or as needed, to support operational performance in other cities

Job Duties:

• Lead base accountability for Allegiant, driving cross-functional collaboration across Inflight, Flight Operations, Maintenance, and vendor teams
• Chair weekly performance reviews to monitor KPIs, resolve operational blockers, and address issues impacting on-time performance, baggage reliability, and safety management systems
• Oversee local Service-Level Agreements (SLAs), auditing vendor compliance and initiating corrective actions when standards are not met
• Represent Allegiant in all regulatory, governmental, and airport authority matters, including interactions with FAA, TSA, and city officials
• Audit service provider training compliance through regular review of training records and monthly evaluations
• Monitor vendor invoices for contract alignment, escalating discrepancies or billing issues as needed
• Ensure effective ground support equipment (GSE) management and completion of required reporting
• Align base team communications and station initiatives with corporate strategy
• Serve as the primary escalation point for unresolved safety, service, or performance concerns
• Coordinate cross-functional responses to irregular operations and support decision-making among base stakeholders
• Address escalated customer complaints in partnership with Customer Relations and relevant departments
• Foster continuous improvement and recognition through joint initiatives with Allegiant and vendor leadership
• Support talent development for base personnel via coaching, feedback, and cross-functional exposure
• Ensure any direct reports understand and apply our Customer Commitment and customer service standards to their daily responsibilities, as appropriate
• Model Allegiant’s customer service standards in personal actions and when providing leadership direction
• As business demands, additional duties/tasks assigned as training and additional qualifications have been met

Are required to lift and/or carry up to 100 lbs. and to push and/or pull up to 300 lbs. May be required to work various shifts/days in a 24-hour situation. Regular attendance is a requirement of the role. Exposure to heights, small spaces, extreme noise (i.e. airport with planes, vehicles, and other machinery), temperature, wind, and light fluctuations. Ability to work in a confined area as well as the ability to crawl in and out of small spaces for extended periods of time. Ability to wear personal protective gear. Some travel may be a requirement of the role.
