It’s still day 1, come build the future of shopping with us!

This position is based in New York.

Our US team

The US is our biggest international priority. We already work with more than 10,000 brands, including Nike, Best Buy, Macy’s, Expedia, and Lululemon, and our ambition is to make the US our largest market within the next three years.

We’re building our local team, led by our Co-founder and CRO, based in New York. You’ll join us at an early stage of our US expansion, with an established product, an existing user base, and a business model that has scaled in our core market.

Why this role is special

As General Manager, US, you will lead and scale Joko’s US business. Reporting directly to our Co-founder and CRO, you will own the US P&L and define the strategy to make the US our largest market.

You will build and lead our local commercial and marketing teams and represent Joko in the US. Working closely with our CMO and VP of Product, you will also define our US user acquisition strategy and dedicated product roadmap.

What you will do
  • US P&L. Set the targets and allocate resources across growth, commercial, and product. Balance expansion with strong unit economics.

  • US team. Hire, lead, and develop our local commercial and marketing teams. Build a strong team, set clear goals and accountability, and foster a culture of ambition, execution, collaboration, and ownership.

  • User acquisition. Define our US user acquisition strategy together with our CMO. Align local execution and scale the channels that attract the most engaged users at a sustainable cost.

  • Commercial growth. Lead our commercial team in expanding merchant partnerships and growing revenue from existing accounts.

  • Product adaptation and engagement. Identify the needs of US consumers and lead US product initiatives, working closely with our Product team.

  • US market presence. Represent Joko in the US by building relationships with key partners, industry leaders, and the media. Attend major events and strengthen our reputation among consumers, partners, and talents.

  • Company leadership and alignment. Bring the US perspective to our leadership team and contribute to Joko’s broader strategy. Align teams on US priorities and communicate progress, challenges, and decisions clearly.

Who we're looking for
  • Experience. You have 15+ years of experience in fast-paced environments, including senior leadership roles in tech, and a strong track record of scaling businesses in the US.

  • Business ownership. You have owned a P&L, defined business strategy, and allocated investments across competing priorities, balancing growth and profitability.

  • Leadership. You attract great talent, develop strong managers, and empower teams to perform at their best.

  • Entrepreneurial mindset. You love building, stay hands-on, and take ownership in ambiguous environments. You move easily between strategy and day-to-day execution.

  • Commercial acumen. You know how to build strong partnerships, identify opportunities, and lead strategic negotiations.

  • Consumer growth and product. You understand consumer acquisition and retention and can translate US consumer insights into priorities with Growth and Product teams.

  • Problem solving. You are analytical and structured. You break down complex problems and use data and judgment to make sound decisions quickly.

  • Execution. You set clear priorities, coordinate multiple workstreams, and deliver quickly while maintaining high standards for quality and accountability.

  • Communication. You communicate clearly and persuasively, build trust across functions, and align stakeholders around shared priorities.

  • Location. You are based in New York, or ready to relocate.

  • Languages. You are fluent in English. French is not required.
