Job summary

Jake’s Grill in Portland seeks a General Manager to oversee all restaurant operations, financial performance and guest satisfaction at the Sentinel Hotel location. You will drive results, lead a high-performance team, and uphold brand standards to deliver an exceptional dining experience.

Responsibilities include cost control, scheduling, staff development, guest recovery, and maintaining image and service levels in a busy, upscale environment.

Qualifications

• 3+ years General Manager experience in upscale/fine dining
• Experience in regional or multi-unit management preferred
• Knowledge of FOH/BOH operations, inventory, food safety, service techniques, and guest interaction
• Understanding of cost and labor systems driving profitability
• Strong communication and leadership with computer and math skills
• Stable, progressive work history and strong work ethic

Responsibilities

• Adhere to brand standards and service levels to increase sales and control costs
• Complete financial and payroll administrative duties on time and in accordance with policies
• Maintain professional restaurant image, cleanliness, uniforms, and appearance standards
• Ensure positive guest service and address complaints to win return visits
• Manage shifts, scheduling, and daily operations with high-quality food and service
• Provide direction and feedback to employees and conduct performance reviews
