Job summary

U-Haul is seeking a responsible, motivated candidate for a General Manager Trainee role to learn how to operate a moving and storage center. The position focuses on inventory management, equipment upkeep, and delivering high-quality customer care, with hands-on interviews and bonuses available.

Responsibilities include fleet management, budgeting awareness, and completing ongoing U-Haul education. A weekends/holidays schedule is required, with multiple training and advancement opportunities

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of management experience in retail or service with responsibility for financial results and customer satisfaction.
• Computer skills required for daily operations and reporting.
• Organizational skills to manage centers and crews.

Responsibilities

• Manage the fleet to deliver clean, well-maintained equipment.
• Track and itemize inventory.
• Ensure customers receive the highest quality of care.
• Keep track of fuel receipts and petty cash.
• Clean and monitor the premises and maintain a secure environment.
• Participate in ongoing U-Haul education through U-Haul University.
