We are looking for a dynamic servant leader and change agent who can navigate within our rapidly evolving industry by leveraging your operational, technical, sales and business development expertise to ensure ARaymond expands, adapts and remains competitive and efficient.Manage in accordance with the principles of the ARaymond Code of Conduct, Business Partner Charter and Core Values and Behaviors.The General Manager (Plant) is responsible for the sales growth, operations, results, and the P&L of our manufacturing facility based out of San Luis Potosi, Mexico. Functional areas of accountabilities include safety, environment, engineering, planning, production, purchasing, quality, materials, maintenance, and human resources.Work in close liaison with the sales team and NA business unit leaders, to develop and implement an effective and cohesive sales strategy providing focus on expanding market reach, identification of new business opportunities while maintaining relationships with existing customers and their evolving needs.This role will report to the ARaymond Manufacturing Center, NA, Inc. President & CEO who is based out of Rochester Hills, Michigan.You will partner and work close with NA business unit Directors and Leadership teams promoting safety, positive culture, collaboration, and a high-performance work environment though the deployment of progressive operational practices.

Role and responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

  • Champion Safety, Environmental and CSR Sustainability - Prioritize the well-being of all employees by ensuring a safe and healthy work environment. Participate and support ARaymond CSR and sustainability goals.
  • Ensure Quality and Delivery -Oversee quality management systems, certification and guarantee compliance in the manufacturing process – first time quality and delivery. Support the team members on SAQ and other customer requests as necessary.
  • Strategic Leadership - oversee all plant operations, including production, quality control, supply chain, and logistics, ensuring alignment with company goals. Proven ability to develop and execute long-term business strategies, including operational expansion into new markets or product lines.
  • Growth, Expansion and Scalability - Ensure the design of processes and layouts that are scalable, enabling smooth expansion of the facility to meet increased demand without compromising efficiency or quality. In collaboration with other business leaders accelerate growth by driving strategic initiatives that maximize efficiency and profitability.
  • Continuous Improvement – Provide leadership for the site and staff to fully deploy the ARaymond Total Management system by driving implementation process improvements to enhance efficiency, reduce waste, and optimize resource allocation. Support operations to achieve streamlined methods, improved cycle times, reduced waste, and enhanced speed and throughput.
  • Sales & Customer Relations - Maintain strong relationships with customers, suppliers, and stakeholders to ensure satisfaction and sustainable business growth.
  • Budget & Financial Management - Strong financial acumen to develop and manage budgets, CAPEX, monitor expenses, and ensure cost-effective operations, including labor. Familiarity with global trade regulations, IMMEX compliance, and import/export policies relevant to our industry.
  • Production Oversight -Ensure production targets are met while maintaining high-quality standards and adhering to safety regulations. Optimize Operations by drivingimprovements and managing key performance indicators (KPIs), enhancing processes, and achieving cost efficiencies.
  • Team Management – In collaboration with managers and Human Resources, hire, onboard and manage staff, fostering a positive, collaborative and productive work environment. Provide guidance and mentorship to leadership team and staff members with robust training and development plans. Empower teams by cultivating aculture of accountability, engagement, and continuous improvement, leading and developing your teams to achieve greatness.
  • Compliance and Ethics- ensure compliance with local labor laws, environmental regulations, and industry standards. Adhere to ARaymond risk and compliance policies and code of conduct and ethics.
  • Cultural Awareness - must have a demonstrated ability to manage culturally diverse teams, especially in the context of our ARaymond international operations. Understanding of the business culture, and local market dynamics for seamless operations in the Mexico region.
  • Interpersonal Skills - strong negotiation skills for dealing with clients, suppliers, government entities, and external union business agents, and other authorities. Effective crisis management and conflict resolution abilities to handle unexpected challenges in the business.
Education and experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, operations, business administration, or a related field.
  • 10+ years experience in automotive parts manufacturing,
  • 8-10 years in a general management leadership role, including sales and business expansion experience.
  • Solid understanding and experience with manufacturing and assemblies, including automotive safety-sensitive parts, components and assembly requirements.
  • Expertise in leading manufacturing expansion and scalability projects, integration of automation into manufacturing processes, managing parts complexity and ensuring sustainable growth.
  • Leadership in driving efficiency by ensuring standard processes.
  • Strong knowledge of automotive industry landscape, standards and practices.
  • Lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, or similar methodologies, IATF and ISO quality system and environmental certifications and standards.
  • Proficiency in Spanish and English.

  • Master’s degree in related field
