Overview

The Restaurant General Manager leads the daily operations of the restaurant. Duties include but are not limited to assisting with menu planning, maintaining sanitation standards, and assisting managers and team members on the floor during peak meal periods. The restaurant General Manager strives to continually improve guest and team member satisfaction, determines training needs to accomplish goals, then implements a plan of action. High focus on financial performance, superior guest service, team member engagement, labor management, and guest/team member satisfaction.

Responsibilities
  • Communicate company priorities and vision to team members.
  • Identify and improve service and food quality based on audits, comment cards, and incident reports, in cooperation with the Chef de Cuisine.
  • Act as liaison between kitchen and floor to ensure exceptional guest service.
  • Guide and coach team members to meet guest needs.
  • Monitor ambiance and restaurant concept standards.
  • Provide financial analytics for the venue and manage profit and loss data.
  • Forecast revenue and products, and ensure schedules align with budgets.
  • Lead in guest hospitality, creating a positive atmosphere.
  • Manage reservations and maximize seating capacity using Open Table.
  • Support on-floor operations during peak times.
  • Promote restaurant through public relations opportunities.
  • Ensure adherence to food service standards.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Management/Administration.
  • At least three years of hospitality or fine dining experience.
  • Alcohol service and Food Handler certifications.
  • Familiarity with restaurant management software like Open Table, Micros, Craftable.
  • Honesty, integrity, and professional behavior.
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Leadership and supervisory skills.
  • Attention to detail and professional appearance.

  • 10-hour shifts.
