Job summary

Camp Construction Services is seeking a General Manager to lead the Austin operations, overseeing multi-family construction projects from start to finish, managing the local operations team, and driving project success with a focus on schedule, budget, and quality.

You will coordinate with subcontractors and vendors, ensure regulatory compliance, and contribute to business development and market growth in the Austin region.

Qualifications

• Must have 8+ years' multi-family/restoration/construction experience
• Must have 5+ years of experience as a people leader
• Preferred – Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management
• Experience effectively communicating across different levels of the organization
• Knowledge of cost containment and risk management
• Intermediate Microsoft Office skills and Xactimate proficiency required
• Strong problem-solving skills
• Excellent ability to prioritize, plan, and manage multiple projects and deadlines

Responsibilities

• Oversee the lifecycle of multi-family construction projects from pre-construction through closeout, ensuring timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
• Manage and direct the operations team’s daily activities.
• Mentor a team of project managers, superintendents, estimators, and other personnel; foster accountability, safety, and continuous improvement.
• Serve as the primary client contact; maintain open communication and address client concerns promptly and professionally.
• Contribute to business development and strategic planning; identify new market opportunities and build a plan to pursue them.
• Identify risks to schedules, budgets, and quality; develop mitigation strategies and enforce safety and quality standards.
• Negotiate contracts with subcontractors and vendors to meet specs, timelines, and budgets.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, local regulations and company policies.
