Job summary

Mexican Sugar is seeking an experienced General Manager to oversee restaurant operations, financial performance, leadership development and guest experience. You will develop a strong management team and deliver sultry Pan-Latin hospitality with a premium dining atmosphere.

The GM will balance long-term strategy with hands-on leadership, driving sales, profitability and exceptional guest experiences in a high-end setting.

Qualifications

• 3–5+ years of restaurant management in a high-volume, full-service setting.
• Premium/upscale dining management experience preferred.
• Strong understanding of P&L, budgeting, forecasting, labor and cost controls.
• Proven ability to drive sales, profitability and build high-performing teams.
• Results-driven leadership with strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Genuine passion for hospitality, Latin-inspired cuisine and premium tequilas.
• Bachelor’s degree or professional certification in hospitality or related field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Create and adjust annual and quarterly operating plans based on sales trends and performance.
• Drive top-line sales through elevated guest experiences and community partnerships.
• Review financial results and identify opportunities to increase sales and reduce expenses.
• Ensure effective labor management through accurate forecasting and scheduling.
• Maintain a polished, safe and well-organized restaurant for guests and staff.
• Develop strategies to strengthen the brand’s competitive position in the community.
• Lead the team to deliver innovative cuisine, cocktails and service.
• Partner with Chef de Cuisine to consistently deliver scratch-made menus.
• Lead the Bar Manager in maintaining a premium cocktail and spirits program.
• Resolve guest concerns promptly and elevate guest experiences beyond expectations.
• Foster a culture that attracts and retains top talent.
