Columbia Hospitality is seeking a seasoned General Manager for Hotel Free West in Big Sky, Montana. You will lead all departments, drive revenue, and ensure service excellence in a dynamic resort environment.

You will collaborate with community partners, manage budgets, and mentor staff while upholding company standards and a guest-centric culture that creates exceptional experiences.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years progressive experience in a General Manager role at a property of similar size and service level.
• Strong knowledge of applicable laws, codes and regulations.
• Ability to write contracts, reports, business correspondence, and operations manuals.

Responsibilities

• Provide overall direction and leadership for all departments on the property.
• Lead group sales outreach, negotiations, planning and service.
• Liaise with community organizations, city officials and industry partners.
• Ensure standards, policies and procedures are implemented across departments.
• Assist in preparing annual operating budget and financial plans.
• Develop and monitor annual operating goals addressing financial, guest, infrastructure, and growth drivers.
• Oversee pricing policies, cost control, and profitability strategies.
• Direct preparation and distribution of reports; safeguard property assets.
• Promote the property in the local community and with industry partners.
• Supervise, train, and develop staff; conduct performance assessments.
• Conduct training on job standards and responsibilities as needed.
