Are you an experienced luxury hotel leader who still loves hospitality but is looking for a more balanced alternative to the traditional 24/7 hotel GM lifestyle?
We are seeking an experienced Hotel General Manager to lead an intimate, low-room-count luxury boutique hotel and executive hospitality operation within a nationally recognized university community.
This is not a traditional high-volume transient hotel. The property serves a more select guest population that includes university leadership, VIP visitors, executives, speakers, entertainers, prospective students and families, athletic programs, conference attendees, and special-event guests. The smaller scale of the property allows the General Manager to focus on personalized hospitality, leadership, guest relationships, financial performance, and exceptional attention to detail rather than managing the volume of a large hotel.
The position also offers an uncommon quality-of-life opportunity within hotel leadership. The normal schedule is predominantly Monday through Friday, with operations and activity influenced by the university's academic calendar. Major events, VIP visits, conferences, and university functions will occasionally require evening or weekend involvement.
The property is also undergoing approximately 20 million in renovations, creating an exciting opportunity for the incoming GM to help shape its next chapter.
This is not a first‑time General Manager opportunity. Ideal candidates will bring:
Experience within boutique hotels, luxury resorts, private clubs, executive conference centers, university hospitality, VIP environments, or renovation projects is especially attractive.
