Job summary

Romark is seeking a General Manager in Lancaster, TX to lead our warehousing and logistics operations. You will oversee safety, quality, productivity, and inventory controls, while balancing labor with demand and driving continuous improvement.

The role reports to the Supply Chain Manager and requires strong leadership, strategic thinking, and hands-on management to optimize processes, mentor staff, and ensure budget alignment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain Management or related field preferred; or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.
• 3–5 years’ managerial experience in materials & logistics with leadership responsibilities.
• 3–5 years’ experience in project management applying supply chain technologies.
• APICS Certification and Lean/Six Sigma knowledge a plus.
• Exceptional communication skills and hands-on management approach.

Responsibilities

• Develop operational metrics to drive facility, shift, and associate performance in safety, quality, inventory accuracy, productivity, and damage elimination.
• Balance labor availability against volume requirements daily.
• Evaluate warehousing procedures and design new methods to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
• Manage and coordinate activities of all disciplines in the warehouse to meet performance objectives.
• Increase warehouse productivity by planning, organizing, and directing personnel resources.
• Partner with HR to develop, implement, and measure employee performance initiatives.
• Identify opportunities to standardize processes to improve performance and reduce costs.
• Create and maintain a well-trained staff with cross-training opportunities.
• Ensure policies and values are communicated, administered, and enforced.
• Prepare accurate reports and records regarding warehouse operations.
• Manage warehouse budgets and assist in annual budget documentation.
• Participate in staff meetings and other seminars.
