Job summary

Barnett Signs Inc. is seeking a General Manager to lead Install, Manufacturing & Service Operations in Texas. You will drive performance across three divisions, develop leaders, and ensure safety and efficiency. This role reports directly to ownership and requires strong business and planning capabilities.

As a hands-on operator, you will optimize workflows, manage fleet and facilities, and strengthen customer experience while growing profitability and scale across the organization.

Qualifications

• 7+ years leading operations in construction, manufacturing, field services, or skilled trades.
• Experience leading through front-line supervisors or department leaders.
• Strong business, planning, and organizational skills.
• Proven success hiring, developing, and retaining skilled employees.
• Working knowledge of fleet management, OSHA, and safety programs.

Responsibilities

General Manager — Install, Manufacturing & Service Operations

Barnett Signs is a growing electric sign company, and our Install, Manufacturing, and Service teams are the fulfillment engines behind everything we deliver. We’re looking for a General Manager to provide operational leadership across all three areas.

Our Production Leads own the day-to-day execution of their departments. You own the business around them—developing leaders, improving performance, driving efficiency, strengthening safety, and ensuring all three operations work together as one high-performing team.

Operational Leadership

Monitor KPIs, productivity, labor efficiency, utilization, and overall operational performance

Lead operational planning and hold Team Leads accountable to key results

Identify bottlenecks, improve workflows, and drive continuous improvement

Use data to improve safety, quality, customer experience, and profitability

People

Recruit, hire, and develop great team members

Build strong leaders through coaching and accountability

Lead onboarding, training, and performance development

Reinforce Barnett’s TEAMS values throughout the organization

Equipment, Fleet & Safety

Oversee fleet, equipment, and facility readiness

Champion safety through training, compliance, and accountability

Ensure our shops, yards, and jobsites are organized and operating efficiently

What We’re Looking For

7+ years leading operations in construction, manufacturing, field services, or skilled trades

Experience leading through front-line supervisors or department leaders

Strong business, planning, and organizational skills
