Hand & Stone Massage and Facial Spa Ocean, located at 2329 NJ-66, Ocean Township, NJ 07712, is seeking a dynamic Spa Leader! The ideal candidate has 1–3 years of leadership experience, is a self-starter, and excels in driving sales while fostering a positive team environment. As a General Manager in Training (GMIT), you will focus initially on front desk operations, client experience, and sales performance. This role prepares you for future management opportunities with a clear pathway to leading your own location. Promotion timelines depend on market growth, role availability, and performance, with the goal of developing our leadership team for elevated roles.

Compensation Package: We offer a competitive package with a base hourly rate, uncapped commissions, and bonuses. GMITs can earn up to $45,000 annually, depending on performance.

As a General Manager in Training, you will:
  • Achieve performance goals such as Membership Conversion, Booking Efficiency, Call Conversion, and Gift Card Sales
  • Lead the front desk team to exceed sales and performance goals
  • Provide exceptional guest experiences as per our Service Level Standard scores
  • Oversee daily front desk operations
  • Assist in managing daily business operations
  • Train, monitor, and coach team members
  • Participate in recruiting, onboarding, and training new front desk staff
  • Educate clients on services and enhancements
  • Promote sales, promotions, and events
  • Maintain spa cleanliness standards
  • Handle administrative functions like sales reporting and cash handling

The GMIT role includes a varied schedule, including weekends, daytime, evenings, and holidays. Flexibility is preferred.

  • Excellent communication skills
  • Fast learner with a positive attitude
  • Proficiency in MS Office and Google Docs/Sheets; knowledge of Zenoti is a plus
  • Strong team player with the ability to work independently
  • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Critical thinking and customer conflict resolution skills
