Chestnut Land Company seeks a General Manager in Training for Auntie Anne’s at Northwoods Mall in Peoria, IL. Lead store operations, supervise staff, and uphold the company’s Three-Fold Philosophy to maximize profitability while delivering great guest experiences.

Qualifications

• Management experience in a retail, restaurant, or other fast-paced environment.
• ServSafe Certification is required.
• A valid driver’s license is required.
• Must be able to work all shifts, including weekends and evenings.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operations of the Auntie Anne’s store at Northwoods Mall.
• Prep, bake, and serve pretzels and other menu items.
• Lead staff recruitment, screening, interviewing, and hiring.
• Coach, supervise, and evaluate employees; manage training and disciplinary actions as needed.
• Approve training assessments and handle terminations when necessary.
• Review weekly sales and labor data to plan schedules.
• Partner with the Regional Manager to set and track sales and labor goals.
• Enforce cash handling and store policies across personnel.
• Manage store inventory and reorder supplies as needed.
• Maintain clean equipment and foster a positive team environment.
• Conduct regular staff and management meetings.
• Maintain relations with Mall Managers and Marketing staff.
• Ensure compliance with Chestnut Land Company policies and Code of Conduct.

Job Summary:

Responsible for the overall supervision and operation of the assigned Auntie Anne’s store at Northwoods Mall, with a particular emphasis on maintaining Auntie Anne’s Three-Fold Philosophy and achieving maximum profitability.

• Manage the day-to-day operations of the Auntie Anne’s Pretzel store.
• Prep, bake, and serve pretzels alongside other menu products.
• Take the lead in recruiting, screening, interviewing, and hiring adequate staff to meet operational needs.
• Assist, guide, and evaluate employees on the performance of their duties.
• Sign off on all training assessments and lead necessary disciplinary actions or terminations.
• Review weekly sales and labor reports to project data and build compliant weekly schedules.
• Partner with the Regional Manager to set and track daily sales and labor goals.
• Enforce cash handling and management policies across all store personnel.
• Manage store inventory and order resources as needed.
• Maintain clean equipment and foster a positive, motivated team environment.
• Conduct regular staff meetings for both the management team and the entire crew.
• Maintain strong working relationships with Mall Managers and Marketing Specialists.
• Ensure all personnel strictly comply with all Chestnut Land Company policies and the "Promise Code of Conduct."

Qualifications:

• Certification: Must be ServSafe Certified
• Experience: Management experience in a retail, restaurant, or other fast-paced environment
• License: A valid driver’s license
• Availability: Must be able to work all shifts, including weekends and evenings
