Job summary

DHL Supply Chain is seeking a General Manager III - Distribution to lead warehouse operations, drive strategic process improvements, and coach a high-performance team in a fast-paced environment.

The role emphasizes customer relations, cost control, safety, and compliance, with responsibility for P&L and strategic reporting to clients.

Qualifications

• 5+ years managerial/supervisory experience
• 2+ years experience in supply chain, warehousing or distribution
• Experience in 3PL and/or contract logistics preferred
• Staff management experience required
• P&L management preferred
• Project management preferred
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent preferred
• Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operations of the warehouse and ensure efficient, accurate receiving, storing, and shipping of goods
• Develop and implement strategies to optimize warehouse processes, reduce costs, and maximize productivity
• Lead and motivate a team of Operations Managers and staff, fostering a strong team culture
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies, maintaining a safe, clean, and productive environment
• Utilize WMS, automation and technology to track inventory, monitor performance, and identify improvements
• Manage vendor relationships and cost-effective services while aligning with the commercial agreement
• Prepare and analyze reports on warehouse performance, inventory levels, and other key metrics
• Lead customer relationships with daily contact to ensure satisfaction and retention
• Own the site P&L and influence outcomes through customer relationships and operations performance
• Prepare and present Monthly/Quarterly Business Reviews (MBR/QBR) to customers with team collaboration

General Manager III - Distribution

The General Manager III role has a national salary range of $95,000 - $120,000.

Job Description:

• Develop and implement strategies to optimize warehouse processes, minimize costs, and maximize productivity.
• Lead and motivate a team of Operations Managers and staff, providing coaching, guidance, and support as needed, while also developing a strong team culture.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies, and oversee operational and personnel activities in the facility to maintain a safe, clean, and efficient working environment.
• Utilize warehouse management systems (WMS), automation and other technology to track inventory, monitor performance metrics, and identify areas for improvement.
• Manage vendor relationships, and ensure cost-effective services and supplies while managing the site in accordance with the commercial agreement.
• Prepare and analyze reports on warehouse performance, inventory levels, and other key metrics to inform decision-making and drive continuous improvement.
• Lead customer relationships by maintaining close daily contact to ensure strong connections and customer satisfaction.
• Responsible for the site’s profit and loss (P&L), which is directly influenced by customer relationships.
• Prepare and present Monthly/Quarterly Business Review (MBR/QBR) to customer, leveraging strong team collaboration.

Required Education and Experience

• 5+ years managerial/supervisory experience, required
• 2+ years of experience in a supply chain, warehousing or distribution environment, required
• Experience in Third Party Logistics (3PL) and/or Contract Logistics, preferred
• Staff management, required
• P&L management, preferred
